 At it’s seaward end the Stone Jetty boasts a stainless steel compass set in granite. Promenaders are encouraged to meander around it’s 360 degrees and enjoy the views afforded. Stainless steel Greylag Geese set into the surface denote a common flight-path into the Bay for migratory birds. It is a favourite with teachers and school parties, as the points of the compass, the geography of the Bay, the movement of the sun and the direction of the wind are inter-related and made real.
